We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our Customer Solutions Engineering team!  While reporting to the Manager of Customer Solutions Engineering, your primary responsibility will be to provide engineering design support for our detection and protection products which utilize electronics. Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide design solutions in support of our internal and external customers.
  • Provide engineering production support to manufacturing operations.
  • Plan, prioritize, and complete engineering investigations and design changes on existing products.
  • Investigate and provide data-backed decisions on non-conforming components.
  • Provide concise technical reports to support investigations and technical judgments.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled manufacturing operations meetings and provide necessary technical support.
  • Develop & execute test plans to evaluate products/components.
  • Evaluate and implement needed product changes within agency requirements.
  • Interpret industry standards.
  • Coordinate agency submittals including test data, samples, and required documentation.
  • Participate in design reviews for new products.
  • Participate in cost reduction initiatives.




Qualifications Required:

  • Experience with low power embedded applications
  • Design experience with low power electronics for agency compliance for hazardous environments
  • Working knowledge of statistics
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment
  • Demonstrated customer centric approach to assignments
  • Up to 10% domestic/international travel required



Education and experience required:

• B.S./M.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferably from an ABET-accredited college or university.


• This position is available at three different career levels based upon experience and education:

  • Level one (Staff II): 2 years of relevant experience
  • Level two (Staff III): 3 years of relevant experience 
  • Level three (Senior Staff): 5 years of relevant experience
  • MS degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of relevant experience
