Overview

We are looking for an Engineered Systems Designer.  While reporting to the Engineered Systems Support Specialist you will be primarily responsible for coordinating bid proposals and producing detailed layout drawings and parts lists for engineered systems. Responsibilities

 Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support sales leads for MSA Latchways product and service offerings through drawings review and parts selection.
  • Produce effective design solutions across the product range, including the evaluation, preparation, presentation and maintenance of design drawings and other documentation for all forms of customers including specifiers, influencers and partners.
  • Assist with Product Development project work as required.
  • Drive projects by incorporating input from internal/external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all leads are captured within CRM, or similar, for the appropriate sales response and tracking to order. 
  • Update CRM account information of MSA Latchways customers, end users, and contacts for each project.
  • Evaluate, prepare, present and update additional technical information such as technical bulletins and datasheets. 
  • Ensure that the Project Tracker is maintained and kept up to date to enable effective conversion of projects from initial inquiry to order and forecasting of the business
  • Produce reports covering the various activities undertaken and resulting actions upon request.

Qualifications

 Education/Experience Required

  • Excellent AutoCAD and IT skills
  • Proven ability to create, read, and interpret technical drawings
  • Demonstrated ability to problem solve
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to influence and foster collaborative relationships; ability to engage resources outside of direct control to gain consensus, meet deadlines, and achieve objectives
  • Demonstrated customer centric approach to assignments
  • Required domestic/international travel of up to 10%
     

Education/Experience Required:

 

  • Associate’s Degree or two year of technical school degree with emphasis on math, science, or computer technology.
  • This position is available at two different career levels depending on experience, education, etc:
    • Level one(Designer II): At least 3 years minimum relevant experience
    • Level two(Sr. Designer): At least 5 years minimum relevant experience
