Overview

We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Sales Manager with strong technical abilities to join our team.  Reporting to the Midwest Regional Business Development Manager, you’ll demonstrate your sales expertise by driving the sales activities of MSA’s Industrial Safety Products into the Missouri, Kansas and Nebraska markets. Responsibilities

Description of duties and responsibilities:

 

  • Increasing sales and market share of MSA’s complete line of environmental, health and safety products to industrial, construction and commercial customers.
  • Successfully implementing strategies and tactics relating to target markets and segments.
  • Managing and supporting a network of regional and national distribution partners.

Qualifications

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

 

  • Demonstrated selling and account managements skills
  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal)
  • Analytical ability & leadership qualities.
  • Ability to grasp technical product knowledge.
  • 30-40% domestic travel

Education and experience required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • This position is available at four different career levels depending on experience, education, etc:
    • Level one: 2 years of industrial experience working with end users and distribution.
    • Level one: 3 years of industrial experience working with end users and distribution.
    • Level one: 4 years of industrial experience working with end users and distribution.
    • Level two: 5 years of industrial experience working with end users and distribution.

Preferred:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or relevant field.
  • Knowledge of the industrial market.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute sales plans and overcome obstacles.
  • Previous safety and/or technical product sales experience.
  • QSSP ( Qualified Safety Sales Professional) Certification or relevant technical expertise
  • Sales experience with fall protection, gas protection and respiratory protection
  • Experienced in working with SAP CRM equivalent pipeline management tool.
