Overview

We  are looking for a  Fire Service Customer Marketing Manager who is responsible for all customer facing marketing activities for their products and markets, including: developing go-to-market strategies to generate demand, supporting MSA sales managers and channel partners, and driving digital and social media marketing communications initiatives.  While reporting to the Fire Service Segment Manager, NNA, the successful incumbent will demonstrate an understanding of the various customer personas in the Fire Service market, the complete buying cycle, and key customer pain points to create powerful and differentiated solutions for customers. Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Keep a “real-time pulse” on market conditions, competitive activities, industry and technology trends, market size and share, as well as market growth rates, through market research and data analysis.
  • Provide market and data analysis in a manner that enables the organization to act.
  • Determine key Marketing collateral investment within assigned products
  • Monitor business success through clear Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and adjust tactics or initiatives to improve performance as needed.
  • Use regional input gathered through market research and the regional steering team process to develop, drive and maintain the strategy for the NNA fire service market segment.
  • Maintain responsibility for Fire Service products including thermal imaging, gas detection, and communications.
  • Manage Special Pricing Request process for Fire Service PG01
  • Serve as an advocate for our customers.

 

 

Qualifications

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Demonstrated ability to acquire and understand customer needs and to translate those needs into differentiated solutions; and to communicate those needs throughout the organization
  • Proven ability to understand evolving technology as a source for customer solutions and competitive advantage.
  • Proven ability to enthusiastically communicate MSA’s vision and strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Exemplary communication, organizational, critical thinking, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and SAP
  • Domestic travel of up to 25% is expected.

 

Education and experience required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing, or related discipline
  • This position is available at three different career levels based upon experience and education.
    • Level one: at least 4 years of relevant experience
    • Level two: at least 5 years of relevant experience
    • Level three: at least 7 years of relevant experience
    • MBA may be substituted for up to 2 years of relevant experience

 

Preferred:

  • MBA
  • Knowledge of MSA or competitive Fire Service products.
  • Experience with the U.S. and Canadian fire service markets.
