Overview

We are looking for a hands-on production cell operator to work in our collaborative manufacturing environment, utilizing state-of-the-art automated electronics assembly equipment at our facility in Corona, CA.  The Cell Operator I for assembly of Hydrogen Sulfide sensors and/or sub-assemblies. You will be able to take pride in the fact that the sensors you are assembling supply fire and gas detection products that will save the lives of people and facilities all over the world.  If this sounds like a great opportunity, then we want to hear from you!  Additional responsibilities include:

Responsibilities

  • Hand solder and resistance weld various precious metals sub-assemblies under a Stereo Zoom Microscope up to 300X magnification.

  • Operate Dot ping serialization, and OSHA approved Pneumatic cap presses.

  • Operate optical infrared temperature measuring equipment for setting metal oxide semi-conductor films.

  • Work with cell lead to maintain stock bins for adequate supplies of subassemblies and parts

  • Perform testing as required using Automatic Test Equipment (ATE)

  • Perform visual inspection to determine if parts meet quality standards

  • Identify assembly problems and make minor repairs

  • Utilize and refer to drawings, assembly instructions, and specifications to perform assembly operation

  • Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and input information in computer system

Qualifications

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

 

  • Proficiency in hand soldering
  • Capable of following all procedures set forth to ensure the highest quality products possible
  • Proven ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures
  • Ability to visually and mentally concentrate for prolonged periods of time
  • Strong manual dexterity for use of tools and performing work on small components requiring fine finger manipulation and hand steadiness under a microscope
  • Ability to regularly perform work that requires magnification under a microscope and distinguish among different color coatings on wires
  • Proven ability to use power and hand tools, and custom tooling
  • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments
  • Ability to work in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area

  

Required Safety Equipment:

  • Safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved
  • Steel toe shoes
  • Other PPE as required per Job Safety Analysis

 

Physical Demands:

  • Light lifting, standing, sitting pulling/pushing carts weighing 25-75 lbs.
  • Safety glasses ANSIZ87 approved
  • Safety toe shoes
  • Other PPE as required per JSA

 

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
