As a Business Process Analyst, you’ll partner with stakeholders and end users to gather, analyze and document requirements to enable translation into technical specifications.  You’ll demonstrate your excellent communication and project management skills as the primary liaison between internal customers and the applications development team.  This position is a part of the Information Technology Rotation Program. This program has a targeted length of 2 years, during which participants will complete rotations in 3-4 departments.  After the rotational period, the candidate will be placed into a designated full-time IT position.

Description of duties and responsibilities:

  • Meet with key users to determine application development requirements, act as the liaison between the IT Organization and the end users to insure requirements and progress are communicated accurately.
  • Work with the IT Business Process Functional Teams, Application Development Teams, and Technology Services Teams as well as the end users, to analyze, design, develop, modify, test, and implement, software solutions and applications to satisfy MSA’s business requirements.
  • Research the SAP system, OSS, ASUG, and other resources for solutions to business requirements and the implementation of new business process improvements.  Research new technologies and functionality, make recommendations on their use at MSA.
  • Create design specifications for programs in all aspects of SAP’s proprietary ABAP/4 programming language.  Complete documentation of software solutions, SAP configuration and program modifications according to departmental standards.
  • Complete projects on-time and on-budget.
  • Present project updates (progress, schedule, spending) to management.
  • Optional travel approximately 15-30% (mostly international) for global projects (kick off, design, testing, end user training, implementation), conferences etc.

Education and experience required: 

  • Associates degree or higher in Information Technology, Cyber Security, Business Administration or related discipline
  • Two years related work experience may be substituted for an associate's degree



  • Experience with an international work environment that includes team members from different countries and cultures
  • Working knowledge of SAP ECC/ABAP or Oracle.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related Information Technology discipline
