    We are seeking a positive, energetic, and hands-on operations analyst/assistant to perform a variety of tasks to support our Director of Operations and management team in our collaborative manufacturing and engineering environment in Lake Forest, CA. In this role, you will provide administrative support and data analysis to the operations team. If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, then we want to hear from you! Additional responsibilities include:


    • Generate, compile, update and refine reports and tools to better suit the needs of management.
    • Manage day to day reporting, information gathering and communication.
    • Assist operations and finance with the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual reports, budgets and forecasts.
    • Create and develop visual presentations, general correspondence, charts, tables, graphs, etc. for KPIs and meetings as needed.
    • Coordinate all aspects of staff and team meetings with other MSA locations as well as local offices, such as meeting space, presentations, meals, equipment, overnight accommodations (if necessary), or other activities as needed.
    • Provide accurate and insightful analysis and reporting of MSA – General Monitors performance based on a criteria and metrics.
    • Represent the director by welcoming visitors, arranging company dinners and other corporate functions, filtering questions and meeting requests directed to the director.
    • Schedule and coordinate all travel. Maintain and schedule director’s calendar and appointments. Facilitate conference calls and web-based meetings.
    • Monitor and respond to phone calls, e-mail, fax, and other correspondence in a timely manner.
    • Support site safety initiatives and programs as necessary.
    • Work with operations team to identify, manage & monitor, and improve cost drivers.
    • Collaborate and support business departments in various, ad-hoc data analysis, reporting and other duties as necessary.
    • Participate in the monthly closing process and provide analytical insight into operational performance and budget variances; in particular, provide cost analysis support to the manufacturing departments of the division.


    Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

    • Exceptional organization and prioritization skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
    • Excellent proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat (full version), e-mail and calendar management, including building queries and reports and importing/exporting data.
    • Ability to work with confidential and/or sensitive material.
    • Solid writing and communication skills.
    • Working knowledge of Publisher, Access, Avery, and Visio.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to effectively collaborate with associates throughout the organization.
    • Ability to exercise independent judgment to perform essential duties.
    • Strategic thinker with strong analytical/problem solving skills.



    • Knowledge of 6s principles.
    • Knowledge of general manufacturing concepts.

    Education and experience required:


    • Level 1: AA degree with at least 3 years of business office experience.


    Preferred education and experience:

    • 5 years of business office experience
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field.
    • Experience with SAP.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment.
