    MSA is looking for a positive and energetic associate with HRIS expertise in systems and data management, benefits administration, and payroll administration. Do you have a strong customer focus? You will be providing best in class HRIS-related customer service to all U.S. associates and participants while continuously improving the quality and timeliness of service. You will also manage the day-to-day technical operations of several HR/benefits programs. Be part of a talented group of professionals in a team environment, reporting to the People Center Manager.     Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Provide support to People Center staff and other HR functions for all HRIS activities in conjunction with critical business processes and complex customer inquiries
    • Update case management system with updates to customer inquiries
    • Generate and transmit data files required for the administration of various HR programs and benefit plans
    • Research and resolve errors resulting from the transmission of employee master data, dependent data and enrollment data. Ability to identify root cause and implement processes to prevent future errors
    • Manage annual benefits open enrollment cycle, including requirements documentation, design and execution of test plans, post-enrollment auditing, and support team members
    • Collaborate with various functions (e.g. IT, Payroll and Benefits) regarding corporate initiatives (e.g. acquisitions, integrations, etc.) and system implementations/upgrades. Includes requirements documentation, execution of test plans, and documentation and execution of process changes
    • May lead team members or other functions through system implementations and upgrades
    • Develop basic to complex reports for use in administering, monitoring and auditing various HR and/or benefits programs
    • Maintain claims data in Microsoft Access database
    • May coach and train junior team members on systems and processes
    • Seek opportunities to improve existing processes
    • Maintain current documentation for HRIS procedures, with a focus on continuous improvement.
    • Complete additional projects and special assignments as determined by the People Center Manager.

    Qualifications

    • Proven ability to assist and/or develop test plans and lead projects
    • Working knowledge of benefits open enrollment process
    • Proficient with Microsoft Word, including general correspondence, merges, and administrative manuals
    • Proficient with intermediate Microsoft Excel functions, including formulas, filters, graphs, and pivot tables
    • Team Orientation
    • Ability to travel 1-10%.

    Preferred:

    • Experience with SAP HR Module.
    • Proven ability with all aspects of benefits open enrollment cycles (requirements documentation, system testing, EDI testing, payroll testing, etc.)
    • Experience with FTP (file transfer protocol)
    • Proficient with intermediate Microsoft Access functions, including building queries and reports

    Education and experience required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • This position is available at three different career levels based upon experience, education, etc:
      • Level one:
        • 1 year HRIS experience, including working knowledge of HR and benefits administration requirements
      • Level two:
        • 3 years HRIS experience
        • 3 years benefits administration software experience, including testing
        • 1 year system implementation/upgrade experience
        • Working knowledge of benefits open enrollment process
        • Proven ability to audit/compare data files to identify discrepancies
        • Proficient with advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including importing/exporting data
      • Level three:
        • 5 years HRIS experience
        • 3 years benefits administration software experience, including testing
        • 3 years system implementation/upgrade experience
        • Proven success in managing vendor performance and deliverables
        • Proficient with advanced Microsoft Excel functions, including importing/exporting data

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Business or related field. Four years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s Degree.
