  • Overview

    We are looking for a dynamic Sr. Supply Chain System Analyst to join our team.  In this role, you will be responsible for building project plans, ensuring adherence to project schedules, and maintaining a systems orientation for projects that align the SCM process to MSA’s Supply Chain Management World Operating Model (WOM).  This position will also participate and lead work streams as part of regional and global supply chain initiatives. Provide ad-hoc analysis and actionable recommendations, drive continuous improvement in the areas of supply chain planning, inventory optimization, end to end lead time reduction, and customer service.




    Description of duties and responsibilities:


    • Analyze and document project objectives, requirements, and approach.
    • Serve as a point-of-contact for assigned functional area and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities.
    • Scope projects, identify resource requirements, articulate deliverables and develop timelines.  Coordinate tasks for small to medium sized teams, ensure timely execution of deliverables and mentor project team to drive cross-functional collaboration.
    • Manage project contract requirements and ensure project budget is in-line with expectations.
    • Partner with client to understand business requirements of the organization, identify data requirements, and formulate strategies that yield value.
    • Determine underlying issues, solution alternatives, and calculate benefits to the integrated supply chain.
    • Develop innovative solutions leveraging internal tools, knowledge, and international expertise.
    • Develop supply chain network models for inventory levels and efficient SCM operations.
    • Develop implementation plans for the strategies proposed during project planning.
    • Develop close working relationship with MSA clients through outstanding project execution and communication.
    • Maintain open-minded, dynamic approach to MSA client’s business needs to identify further opportunities for collaboration.
    • Identify and analyze data to determine root causes, develop business cases, test/implement solutions and prioritize competing program opportunities.

    • Partner with stakeholders at multiple levels internal and external to MSA, and dynamically lead teams to define and deliver solutions.

    • Provide escalation management, anticipate bottlenecks, make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical or operational constraints.

    • Compare MSA Supply Chain processes with industry standards, best practices and identify weakness or areas that require improvements.

    • Partner with business owners to educate best practice and gain an understanding of the requirements and obstacles that would impede the movement to best practice.

    • Provide functional solutions, including business process optimization and integration with other SAP modules to achieve best practice




    Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:


    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Proven ability to effectively build relationships and influence others to achieve goals and project objectives.
    • Proven analytical skills
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Access, Power Point, Word and Excel.
    • Willingness to travel 25% domestically and internationally.


    • Experience in Global or Regional Supply Chain Management
    • Experience in the development of Project Plans and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to facilitate assigned projects.
    • Experience in SAP

    Education and experience required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business or other related discipline
    • Level I: 3 years of experience in operational Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related discipline.
    • Level II: 5 years of experience in operational Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related discipline and 2 year experience as team member of Supply Chain optimization projects.
    • MS or MBA may be substituted for up to 2 years of relevant experience


    • APICS Certification
    • MS or advanced degree  in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management / Mathematics or related field
