    In this position, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers, developing new markets for which to sell FGFD products and to capitalize on new and existing growth opportunities. With the assistance of field sales support and marketing, this position will identify the targeted end user, nurture the account into a viable opportunity, and deliver sales growth in Fixed Gas and Flame Detection (FGFD) with the targeted organization or market. The person in this role will develop the overall strategy, relationship, tactical plans and the development of accounts between sales associates and key managers.

     

    Responsibilities

    NNA Flame Detection Market Share Growth

    • Assesses and creates a tactical plan for end-user accounts with potential to provide additional revenue for NNA.
    • Creates an overall strategy to drive customer satisfaction at the end user with FGFD product offerings.
    • Partners with appropriate Sales Directors, Regional Sales Managers, and Territory Sales Managers regarding the selection, training and communication to team responsible for account development at customer-location level.
    • 5% annual growth in flame detection is expected based on these efforts

     

    Training, Development and Execution

    • In conjunction with Marketing, develop and provide training to MSA Sales leadership, Field Sales and Representatives to ensure adequate knowledge of target markets to successfully execute strategy.
    • Champion the “System Selling” concept for Flame Detection to increase average order size and increase the likelihood of winning large orders.

    Provide input to all Flame Detection NPD Activities

     

    • Partners with Regional Steering Teams to inform and advocate Industrial Market product development priorities.
    • Supports recommendations with fact-based data from industry experts and trade associations in an effort to build a stronger, more cohesive voice for NNA.

     

     

     Elevate the functionality and impact of our FGFD Test Center

    • Rely on experience to develop the script/curriculum to demonstrate MSA’s flame detection capabilities to customers both in person and via video feed.
    • Manage the acquisition of additional test fixtures, target fuels and false alarm stimuli.

    Qualifications

    Education (Required): 

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or educational academic equivalent

     

    Experience (Required): 

    • 12+ years marketing or sales related experience in FGFD
    • Detailed knowledge of FGFD products and systems
    • Direct knowledge of competitive flame detection systems and capabilities
    • Solid understanding of business financials (P&L, Balance Sheet, Income Statements, etc.)

     Experience (Preferred): 

    • Interaction with Manufacturer’s representatives
    • Master’s degree in related field may be substituted for up to two years of relevant work experience
