  • Overview

    We are looking for a dynamic Supply Chain Analyst (Business Analytics) to join our team.  This position will lead or participate in work streams as part of regional and global supply chain initiatives.  Primary focus is on alignment of "Best Practice" SCM processes into MSA’s World Operating Model (WOM) while pursuing supply chain projects that drive continuous improvement and optimize our investment in inventory and end-to-end lead time reduction.

    Responsibilities

    Description of duties and responsibilities:

    • Analyze and document project objectives, requirements, and approach as it relates to accessing, analyzing and utilizing MSA information within the Business Warehouse data repository.
    • Scope projects to identify deliverables and develop the timelines required to build, test, and deliver workable data cubes for analysis.
    • Coordinate tasks for small to medium size teams and ensure timely testing, training and execution of deliverables.
    • Lead the creation of cross-functional linkages to streamline processes and reduce waste and better leverage the MSA Data Analytics.
    • Lead and facilitate intercompany regional meetings to promote the use of MSA Data Analytics and obtain new requirements or gaps in current offerings.
    • Lead OPEX KPI Continuous Improvement efforts.
    • Drive on-time delivery and backorder / backlog metrics to the desired results.
    • Create future state metrics to drive and support overall departmental goals.
    • Perform ongoing reporting and maintenance of service processes.

     

    Qualifications

    Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to effectively build relationships and influence others to achieve goals and project objectives.
    • Proven analytical skills.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Access, Power Point, Word and Excel.
    • Willingness to travel up to 10% international travel.

    Preferred:

    • Experience in global or regional supply chain management
    • Experience in the development of project plans and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) to facilitate assigned projects

    Education and experience required:

    • Bachelors degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Engineering, related field
      • 4 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain or related field may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree
    • 2-4 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain or related field

    Preferred:

    • APICS Certification
    • MBA
