    We’re looking for an Industrial Territory Sales Manager with strong technical abilities to join our team. Reporting to the Regional Sales Development Manager, you’ll develop and demonstrate your sales expertise by driving the sales activities of MSA’s Fall Protection, Head Protection, Portable Instruments, Respiratory Protection and more into the Quebec and Eastern Ontario markets.     Responsibilities

    Description of duties and responsibilities:

    • Increase sales of MSA’s safety products and portable instruments to industrial accounts.
    • Train/work with industrial distributors, learning and developing means to promote MSA’s safety products and portable instruments.
    • Focus and promote products to the end user/decision maker in conjunction with key distributor partners.
    • Improve customer and distributor satisfaction levels specifically related to field support.
    • Study core products, standards, laws, regulations, policies, and pricing structures.
    • Start to develop exposure to multiple markets and competitive landscape.
    • Report trends/conditions, competitive activity and sales opportunities to sales management.

    Qualifications

     Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and Engilsh to clearly and accurately convey basic information.
    • Demonstrated selling skills, preferably in the industrial safety/industrial arena.
    • Customer account management experience.
    • Proven ability to guide, mentor and motivate others.
    • Proven planning and organizational skills.
    • Demonstrated capabilities of exceeding sales and profitability goals.
    • Strong organization, communication, interpersonal and management skills.
    • Familiarity with digital selling strategies.
    • Familiarity with management of sales process within the CRM database.
    • Familiarity with social media for communication purposes.
    • Willingness to travel 60% domestically.  Occasional business travel to our corporate headquarters in the US.

    Education and experience required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • This position is available at two different career levels depending on experience, education, etc:
      • Level one: <1 year of industrial safety/industrial sales experience
      • Level two: 1 year of industrial safety/industrial sales experience

     

    Preferred:

    • College Diploma in Business or a Technical Discipline
    • Experience in managing/selling through distribution
    • Familiarity with MSA safety products and MSA portable instruments and their applications
    • Working knowledge of the local geography and the area’s key accounts
