    We are looking for a dynamic Global Supply Master Planner to join our team.  This key Supply Chain role is responsible for managing the medium and long term capacity plan for MSA Manufacturing Facilities.  You will be working closely as the primary link with our Demand Planning, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams to ensure the Demand / Marketing plans are transformed into an actionable master production schedule for our manufacturing sites to execute  You will also provide leadership and key representation in MSA's S&OP process while providing mentorship and coaching to plant level production schedulers. 

    Responsibilities

    Description of duties and responsibilities: 

    • Coordinate medium to short-range plant production loadings to maintain tactical inventory levels through the creation of a master production plan
    • Lead supply and inventory reviews in monthly S&OP meetings and weekly planning meetings
    • Partner with Demand Planning for forecasted sales to establish a feasible Master Production Schedule for top level loading into the MRP system
    • Partner with sites to resolve back-order situations to ensure output is in line to maintain customer satisfaction
    • Establish an allocation plan with Sales/Marketing & Operation leaders when supply constraints exist
    • Support NPD launches to ensure raw materials & capacity to hit trial and launch dates
    • Maintain master scheduling metrics and demonstrate continuous improvement on those measures collaboratively with plant material management
    • Maintain an understanding of plant capacity utilization across the planning horizon to assist in establishing a feasible production schedule and communicate or resolve issues related to over / under capacity discrepancies
    • Analyze potential impact of forecast and production schedule changes on component procurement and production volume 

    Qualifications

    Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

     

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to effectively build relationships and influence others to achieve goals and project objectives
    • Proven analytical and organizational skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Power Point, Word and Excel
    • Willingness to travel 25% domestically and internationally

     

    Education and experience required:

    • 5 years of experience in operational supply chain management, logistics, production planning or related discipline
    • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business management or related field
      • MS or MBA may be substituted for up to 2 years of relevant experience

    Preferred:

     

    • 2 years of experience as team member of supply chain optimization projects
    • Experience in global or regional supply chain management
    • Experience in the development of project plans and work breakdown structures (WBS) to facilitate assigned projects
    • APICS Certification
    • MS or advanced degree  in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management / Mathematics or related field
