    We are looking for a dynamic Communications Specialist to join our team.  You will be the communications coordinator and writer for MSA, leading select communication initiatives and assisting with daily activities of the Corporate Communications Department.  If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, then we want to hear from you!


    Description of duties and responsibilities:

    • Assist in the execution of all internal and external corporate communications activities, including development of content for MSA Intranet.
    • Assist with the development of press releases and internal announcements, and coordinating logistics with special events for which the Corporate Communications team is responsible.
    • Develop and compile presentations; proof departmental work
    • Draft and update Corporate content on both MSA Connect and
    • Utilize PRNewswire Services and develop media tracking/frequency reports.
    • Assist in carrying out day-to-day needs of the Corporate Communications Dept. (answering phones, follow-up on media requests, information gathering, etc.).


    Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

    • Excellent computer skills, with emphasis on the Microsoft suite.
    • Excellent English, grammar, punctuation and spelling skills.
    • Proven ability to multi-task in fast paced environment
    • Excellent writing and communication skills.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and complete tasks with little supervision.
    • Strong desire and determination to succeed.
    • Ability to travel up to 5% domestically.

    Education and experience required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English or Communications-related field.
    • 1 year experience in communications-related field.


    • Experience in media monitoring and utilizing PRNewswire services.
    • Experience in Intranet coordination.
    • Experience with social media.
    • Project management experience or certification.
    • Understanding of business financials.
