    We’re looking for a dynamic Accountant with strong analytical abilities and a continuous improvement mindset to join our team.  A strong, results oriented candidate will create future opportunities, for themselves, within a major global organization.  This position reports to the Global OPEX Accounting Manager and is responsible for supporting our global entities in their costing and inventory processes, while ensuring the integrity of accounting information in accordance with company practices and generally accepted accounting principles.  If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, then we want to hear from you!


    Description of duties and responsibilities:


    • Annual standard cost roll
      • Partner with various functional groups to create the timeline of required activities
      • Publish the budget calendar to OPEX recipients
      • Manage the cleansing rolls to clear all errors prior to the final global cost roll
      • Create and publish various analytic reports, such as the Revaluation Analysis, Cost of Sales Analysis, and production Market Basket Analysis in conjunction with each cost run
    • Complete monthly closing duties, as assigned
    • Participate actively on project teams, meet project timelines and complete actions according to project schedule; communicate effectively with other team members so that all issues are clearly understood
    • Work with local accounting teams to provide directions for questions concerning MSA policies
    • Ensure all processes are in compliance with MSA global policy
    • Material master activation for new product development.



    Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

    • Ability to analyze complex sets of data and provide root causes and recommendations based upon results
    • Ability to draft clear, concise, and accurate accounting and financial reports or documents of a moderately complex nature
    • Excellent computer skills in MS Office products such as Excel and Access
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively deliver oral presentations, primarily to internal associates
    • Proven ability to identify project obstacles and use creativity to develop alternative solutions
    • Ability to make recommendations and follow through on course of action
    • Proven experience coordinating project plans, meeting deadlines, and producing high-quality work results and reports
    • A strong continuous improvement orientation and desire to grow in skills and career
    • Willingness to travel up to 25%



    • Ability to perform level-appropriate financial analysis, such as capital budgeting and investment appraisal

    Education and experience required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance or related discipline.
      • Level I - 2 years relevant experience
      • Level II - 4 years relevant experience


    • Major in Accounting or Business Administration
    • MBA / CMA / CPA
    • SAP ECC experience
    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
