Working alongside experienced engineers, co-ops have a unique opportunity to apply their academic learning to products that protect lives in communities around the world.  Electrical Engineering co-ops in the Test Engineering group may be involved in:








    Description of duties and responsibilities:

    • Assisting Test Engineers with plant support efforts
    • Assisting Test Engineering Technician with overflow technician work in TE Lab
    • Designing verification and calibration equipment for new product releases
    • Working with LabView and TestStand
    • Designing and setting up experiments
    • Documenting test results
    • Assembling mechanical parts; general wiring and soldering
    • Maintaining existing systems


    Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:


    • Hands-on technical aptitude
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
    • Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
    • Ability to work in a team environment
    • Through-hole and surface-mount soldering experience preferred
    • Testing experience preferred



    Education and Experience required:

    • Incumbent should be actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in an Electrical Engineering program (preferably at an ABET-accredited school) and have completed at least one semester of Sophomore year prior to beginning this co-op.
