Working alongside experienced engineers, co-ops have a unique opportunity to apply their academic learning to products that protect lives in communities around the world. The Quality Assurance co-op will contribute to the operational excellence at MSA by collaborating on the following tasks:

    Responsibilities

    Description of duties and responsibilities:

    • Data collection and analysis
    • Trend evaluations
    • Design of Experiments as prescribed by Quality Engineers
    • Various Engineering support functions including product analysis
    • Sensor test assistance
    • Other duties as required and assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager

    Qualifications

    Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

    • Hands-on technical aptitude.
    • Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Basic engineering knowledge (data analysis, design of experiment)

    Education and experience required:

    • Must be pursuing a Bachelors in Chemical, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering or Physical Science discipline, preferably from an ABET-accredited program, and have completed at least one semester of Sophomore year

    Preferred:

    • Database/programming experience
    • Basic SAP skills
