  • Overview

    To service and maintain auxiliary equipment such as but not limited to semi-automatic label & bagging machines, robots, etc., in the Injection Molding departments.


    Service & maintain auxiliary equipment:

    • Troubleshoot and repair labeling devices when needed
    • Perform preventative maintenance of the labeling machines and other auxiliary equipment.
    • Load labeling devices (if production cannot) with labels when required
    • Troubleshoot and repair auto-bag devices.
    • Perform preventative maintenance on auto-bag devices
    • Troubleshoot and repair pick & place robot devices when needed
    • Perform preventative maintenance on pick & place robot devices

    Material movement:

    • Move production materials to work cells as needed
    • Move finished product to storeroom or loading dock as needed
    • Complete setups when needed for production

    Assist with break relief:

    • On an opportunity basis, assist production by manning machines to relieve operators during break periods.


    Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:

    • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex computer driven electro-mechancial devices
    • Proven ability to read and understand electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
    • Proven ability to understand standard units of measure and to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices  
    • Ability to perform standard software operations
    • Ability to infrequently lift, carry, push and pull up to 50 pounds without assistance
    • Ability to use power and hand tools, and to operate moderately complex machines and a bridge crane
    • Ability to effectively communicate with various levels within the organization including training of new associates and temporary agency assignments
    • Ability to work in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision
    • Ability to perform lockout / tag-out
    • Ability to obtain fork truck certification
    • Ability to operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area
    • Ability to wear safety glasses ANSI Z87 approved, steel toe shoes, and other PPE as required

    Education Required:

    • High School Diploma or equivalet

    Education and Experience Preferred:

    • Technical degree with electronic and/or mechanically driven devices
    • 1-2 years prior experience in equipment maintenance

    • 1 year prior experience servicing similar equipment
