    Job Summary:   


    Monitor work load, capacity, rate, quality, and training of associates on the X-Cell Combustible Sensor line.  Position is also responsible for assembly, testing and rework of Combustible sensors and/or sub-assemblies.   Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as they related to production and the company’s objective is required.  In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining production goals through linearity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.



    Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Normal direct labor / production responsibilities for the X-Cell Combustible DFT line, including visual inspection, performing minor repairs.
    • Assess work load and capacity requirements and make adjustments by assigning associates to other areas as needed. 
    • Maintain DFT boards and respond to output variations.
    • Work with Buyer/Planner on priorities and material constraints
    • Monitor rate and quality of work by various means including standard work assessments and time studies.
    • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and work cell safety efforts.
    • Complete and maintain relevant paperwork and inputs information in computer system.
    • Perform and track training of new and current associates.

    • Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate work and organize daily activities according to departmental measures, policies, and procedures.
    • Ability to read and understand drawings, work instructions and test procedures.
    • Ability to perform and reconcile inventory cycle counts. 
    • Ability to set-up and interpret results of various measuring devices.
    • Ability to use power and hand tools, and ability to use custom tooling.
    • Ability to perform standard software operations including SAP.
    • Ability to sometimes lift, carry, push and pull up to 35 pounds without assistance.
    • Ability to regularly perform fine finger and hand activity / steady hand required.
    • Ability to concentrate for prolonged periods of time / considerable attention to detail required.
    • Ability to learn and use techniques to eliminate waste in processes.
    • Operate at a level that meets or exceeds quality and productivity standards for the work area.
    • Ability to work in a team environment.
    • Willingness to work on various product groups and work flexible shifts.



    Education and Experience Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • 1 – 2 years experience in department 332 required
    • 4 or more years manufacturing (preferably electronics) experience preferred
    • Previous supervisory experience preferred.
