    We’re looking for an experienced Construction Sales Manager with strong technical abilities to join our team.  Reporting to the Midwest Regional Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling MSA’s full line of safety products with special emphasis on fall protection to the Construction/Contractor markets. This is a team selling position with additional responsibilities in developing and maintaining high level corporate relationships with key end users in the states of IL, IN, WI, IA, MN, MO with the goal of converting them to MSA safety products.  If this sounds like an exciting opportunity, then we want to hear from you!


    Description of duties and responsibilities:

    • Grow MSA’s market share in the construction market in the states covered with a primary focus on the greater Chicago/NW Indiana market.
    • Support, drive and monitor key construction market opportunities with the Territory Sales Managers.
    • Communicate opportunities to key channel partners, Territory Sales Managers and the Industrial and Construction Business Development Regional Managers.
    • Provide support and training for these stake holders by using tools such as evaluations, demonstrations, web casting, joint sales calls, MSA meeting presentations and reach out calls.


    Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

    • Demonstrated selling and account managements skills
    • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal)
    • Excellent analytical ability & leadership qualities
    • Ability to grasp and apply technical product knowledge
    • Willingness to travel 30-40% domestic


    • Bilingual Spanish/English

    Education and experience required:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • This position is available at two different career levels based upon experience, education, etc:
      • Level one: 2 years of experience with outside sales with a focus on the construction market
      • Level three: 3 years of experience with outside sales with a focus on the construction market


    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • Familiarity with the construction industry and specifically with Top Engineering News
    • Record (ENR) contractors
    • Comfort with mechanical devices
