This position is primarily responsible for the set up and operation of CNC mills and lathes in order to produce component parts that require close tolerances. Set-ups include tooling and fixturing for first part run off and inspection. Machine operating requires the ability to make machine offset adjustments, tool changes and troubleshooting to maintain a quality part. Position may also responsible for performing secondary operation such as deburring of parts. Adherence to safety, housekeeping and quality standards as they relate to the production and company’s objective is required. In addition, this position is responsible for maintaining production goals through productivity targets and cost containment by eliminating waste.

The successful candidate is expected to meet all criteria necessary to progress through all levels of the Machine Operator progression program. Starting wage grade for this position will be determined by experience and relevant course work.
