    We’re looking for a dynamic Associate Accountant with strong analytical abilities to join our team.  Reporting to the Lead Accountant/Supervisor in the Northern North America/Corporate General Ledger Department, you will be responsible for supporting that team by assisting in the month-end closing process for several company codes, mainly in the U.S. and Canada, as well as various reporting requirements and data analysis.  This position will provide opportunities to grow within the finance department and is located at our Corporate Headquarters in Cranberry Township, PA.  Build a rewarding career and help make the world safer, one person at a time.



    Description of duties and responsibilities:

    • Create monthly journal entries and input into SAP
    • Complete and gather backup for monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations
    • Review results of financials upload to BPC and perform analysis as necessary
    • Compile monthly inter-company billing backup packages and assist in the balancing of inter-company accounts
    • Collect data for Internal and External audit requests as well as for various internal controls
    • Support process improvements and other initiatives to improve the efficiency of the position and the department
    • Support Accounting Supervisor in maintenance of expense authorization tables
    • Coordinate with Shared Services (AP and AR) to ensure timely recording of cash and payables
    • Develop into point of contact (“customer service rep”) for all department service requests (such as expense and cost center re-classes or information)
    • Assist in implementation of financial projects as necessary


    Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

    • Thorough understanding of financial analysis with strong analytical abilities
    • Excellent Excel skills (including VLookups and Pivot Tables)
    • Creative problem solving and ability to generate high quality innovative solutions
    • Excellent verbal & written communication skills
    • Strong organizational, multi-tasking skills
    • Collaborative style

    Education and experience required:

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, economics, finance or related discipline


    • 1 year Accounting experience
    • SAP FICO experience
    • PowerPoint presentation skills
    • BPC software experience
