    We’re looking for an experienced Industrial Sales Manager / Construction Sales Manager with strong technical abilities to join our team.  This position is a 50/50% role. 50% of the responsibilities are an Industrial Sales Manager and 50% of the responsibilities are a Construction Sales Manager within the Baltimore – Washington and Northern VA metropolitan area. This is a team selling position with additional responsibilities in developing and maintaining high level corporate relationships with key end users while supporting surrounding teammates on Fall Protection solutions. The position reports to the Atlantic Regional Business Development Manager.     Responsibilities

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Increase sales and market share of MSA’s complete line of environmental, health and safety products to industrial, construction and commercial customers.
    • Successfully implement strategies and tactics relating to target markets and segments.
    • Manage and support a network of regional and national distribution partners.
    • Provide fall protection solutions and continue to grow MSA’s market share in the construction market within the Baltimore-Washington area.
    • Provide support and training for our stake holders by using tools such as evaluations, demonstrations, web casting, joint sales calls, MSA meeting presentations and reach out calls.

     

    Qualifications

    Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

    • Demonstrated selling and account managements skills
    • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal)
    • Proven analytical ability and solid leadership qualities
    • Demonstrated ability to grasp technical product knowledge
    • Ability to travel 30-40% domestically

    Preferred:

    • Knowledge of the industrial market
    • Demonstrated ability to execute sales plans and overcome obstacles
    • Previous safety and/or technical product sales experience
    • Sales experience with fall protection, gas protection and respiratory protection

    • Experience working with CRM type pipeline management tools.

    Education and experience required:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
      This position is available at three different career levels based upon experience, education, etc.:
      Level I: 4 years sales experience
      Level II: 5 years of sales experience
      Level III: 6 years sales experience

    Preferred:

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field or educational academic equivalent. 4 years of relevant work experience may be substituted for a Bachelors degree
    • QSSP (Qualified Safety Sales Professional) Certification or relevant technical expertise.
