  • Overview


    We're looking for a knowledgeable, hands on quality coordinator to work in our collaborative manufacturing environment in Corona, CA. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for incoming inspection, supporting manufacturing operations on all objectives, managing all non-conforming material and product, supporting the Material Review Board (MRB) process and maintaining all inspection and equipment calibration records and system audits as necessary.  You will be able to take pride in the fact that the fire and gas detection products that you help manufacture protect people and facilities all over the world.     • Perform inspections and measurements on all incoming materials as necessary.
    • Responsible for the material review board (MRB) process, collecting non-conforming material to final disposition.
    • Monitor the quality tracking system. Initiate and create quality notifications as necessary in the company ERP system.
    • Perform audits and updates to procedures, work instructions and test procedures at all stages.
    • Meet with outside vendors/auditors on all quality related matters.
    • Produce and maintain all required certificates and audit reports as necessary.
    • Maintain and update the equipment calibration records.
    • Perform source inspections when necessary.
    • Support operations on all quality related matters.
    • In SAP be familiar with the engineering change management (ECM) process and be able to initiate and create ECMs as necessary.
    • Maintain and oversee daily/weekly KPI reporting.


    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    • Solid organizational skills.
    • Detail-oriented with a strong technical ability.
    • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook.
    • Basic knowledge of inspection tools and techniques.
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
    • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment.
    • Basic knowledge of engineering drawings.
    • Ability to meet and direct outside vendors on expected quality levels.
    • Ability to lift up to 35lbs and push or pull up to 100 lbs on a cart.


    Education & Qualification Requirements

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
    • At least two years of experience in a receiving inspection role in a manufacturing environment.


    Preferred Education & Qualifications

    • Certification in ISO9000.
    • Certification in mechanical inspection.
    • Quality auditing, mechanical machining, fabrication and electrical inspection experience.
