Evaluate, test and repair products following documented procedures to assure conformance to specifications and standards, complete written records of work done, and identify and documen non-conformances in piece parts, assemblies and test results.
Effectively troubleshoot routine and unusual test failures to the subassembly level, occasionally consulting with more experienced technicians.
Assist other technicians in troubleshooting as needed.
Repair, modify, calibrate, adjust, and troubleshoot moderately complex instruments.
Perform initial evaluation by examining instrument and analyzing needed repairs. Crosscheck findings with customer comments, regarding instrument performance.
Prepare cost estimates for repair of instruments, prepare and submit documentation to Service Coordinators and/or customers regarding repair efforts.
Picks parts from the warehouse. Transfers material to shipping dock.
Pack and ship instruments according to customer specification, generate delivery notes and determine method of shipping.
Maintain relevant information in computer systems.
