    We are looking for a Software Quality Engineer to ensure software quality and efficiency in MSA software development! While reporting to the Software Quality Engineering Manager, the successful incumbent will have the opportunity to work with teams developing products with embedded software and help drive early and frequent quality activities throughout the software development process. This role will provide exposure to both technical as well as process-related responsibilities, and will work closely with software developers and other Software Quality Engineers (SQE) to make improvements that impact software quality and efficiency.     • Work in New Product Development team in Software Quality role throughout the development life-cycle
    • Assist embedded software developers with process and tooling for efficient and high quality development
    • Participate in automated and manual testing efforts
    • Work within global SQE group to establish baselines and drive improvements across the organization

    • Up to 10% domestic/international travel may be required









    Special skills, knowledge and abilities required:

    • Passionate about solid practice, and tailoring practice to meet specific needs and goals
    • Embedded software development experience in C/C++ programming language
    • Experience with automated test frameworks and Python scripting language
    • Experience introducing new workflows or tools to improve software quality and efficiency
    • Excellent communications skills, written and verbal
    • Must be a team player, have the ability and desire to work in a global, multi-cultural environment

    • Exposure to embedded security topics
    • Experience with software measures and metrics
    • Understanding of requirements traceability to implementation and testing
    • Exposure to Agile development methodology
    • Experience with version control (git), issue tracking and continuous integration tools


    Education and experience required:

    BSCE, BSSE or relevant technical discipline, preferably from an ABET-accredited program.

    ·        This position is available at two different career levels based upon experience and education:

    o    Level one (Staff III):  3 years of relevant industry experience required

    o    Level two (Senior Staff):  5 years of relevant industry experience required

    o    MS degree may be substituted for up to 2 years of relevant experience
