  • Work in highly motivated, high performing cross-functional and global teams to create embedded and application software providing top notch user experience and meeting high standards of quality
  • Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle and to initiatives that impact the broader software organization or company
  • Deliver software for high tech devices and systems that drive differentiating features our customers want and need to better enable worker and work site safety in dangerous industrial and firefighting settings (detect dangerous gasses with high-powered IR beam, reduce time to find downed firefighter inside structure, equip industrial worker with portable gas detection directly cloud-connected via cellular, etc.)
  • Up to 10% domestic/international travel may be required


Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:

  • High software development aptitude using embedded C and gitflow

  • Skilled in Python scripting language or similar

  • Proven ability to efficiently deliver high quality results with workflow including automated tests/simulators

  • Energetic, can-do mindset bringing new ideas to the table

  • Hands-on experience with wired and wireless communication protocols

Special Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Preferred:

  • Ability to write GUI-based apps for engineering tools

  • Familiarity with HART analog+digital industrial automation protocol


Education and Experience Required:

  • BSCE, BSEE or relevant technical discipline, preferably from an ABET-accredited program.
    • Note: this position is available at three different career levels based upon experience and education:
      • Level one:  entry level 
      • Level two: 2 years of relevant industry experience
      • Level three: 3 years of relevant industry experience
        • MS degree may be substituted for up to 1 year of relevant experience

Education and Experience Preferred:

  • Experience with RTOS running on Cortex-based ARM microcontrollers
