We’re looking for a dynamic Accountant with strong analytical abilities to join our team.  Reporting to the General Ledger Accounting Supervisor, you will participate in the month-end, quarter-end and year-end closing and reporting for several MSA company codes, mainly in the U.S. and Canada.  This position will be responsible for reporting P&Ls, completing account reconciliations and month-end close journal entries, initiating inter-company billings, performing data analysis, gathering audit support and documenting SOX controls.  This position will have an emphasis on streamlining and improving existing processes and practices to not only improve the efficiency of the position but the overall effectiveness of the Shared Services team.  Build a rewarding career and Help Make the World Safer, One Person at a Time.


  Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Creates recurring and non-recurring monthly journal entries and inputs into SAP.
  • Reviews results of financials, uploads into BPC (and Oracle FCCS) and performs analysis.
  • Initiates inter-company billings and ensures subsequent postings are timely and accurate.
  • Gathers backup for and completes monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations in Oracle ARCS.
  • Supports the GL team with process improvements to improve efficiency.
  • Serves as point of contact for all department requests such as expense reclasses.


Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:


  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables and complex formula building)
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Solid organizational, multi-tasking and team building skills
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills



Understanding of Accounting for a manufacturing company

Education and experience required:


Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics or relevant.




MBA and/or CPA


Experience in the following:


  • Month-end closing process
  • Account reconciliation preparation
  • Oracle FCCS
  • Oracle ARCS 
  • Creation of PowerPoint presentations
